EB 25 Metal Precipitant

EB 25 is an aqueous solution of a heavy metal precipitant effective in precipitating low concentrations of precious and heavy metal ions from industrial aqueous effluent. EB 25 is recommended as a polishing chemical for effluent containing 10-500 ppm total metal ion, but should also be considered as an alternative to inadequate conventional techniques for precipitation of much higher levels of metal ions. EB 25 is extremely effective in precipitating copper, even from solutions containing complexed or chelated copper. It is also effective on other metals including cadmium, chromium (III), gold, iron, magnesium, mercury, nickel, silver , and zinc.

EB 25 is not recommended for aluminum, arsenic, chromium (VI) and molybdenum. The sludge cake produced from its use as heavy metal precipitant is compact, highly insoluble, and easily dewatered. Its low solubility means that is less susceptible to leaching and it is more likely to pass leaching tests such as those required by the U.S. EPA.

EB 28 Metal Precipitant

EB 28 is a sodium salt designed for use as an efficient metal precipitant. EB 28 is intended to complement EB 25 metal precipitant. EB 28 provides more cost effective removal of some selected heavy metals from waste streams when compared to other precipitants. EB 28 provides an alternative product that is less toxic to aquatic species. In addition, the volume and weight of sludge per unit of metal is substantially less than alternative products. This benefit allows for substantial savings in sludge disposal costs. EB 28 is effective in the removal of complex chelated metals, and can also be used to recover expensive metals.
Benefits
  • Cost Effective Metal Removal
  • Precipitates Complexed or Chelated Metals
  • Lower Aquatic Toxicity Than Other Precipitates
  • Effective Against All Multivalent Metal Ions
  • Reduces Chrome +6 to Chrome +3 for Precipitation
  • Produces Dense Sludge
