Tube Clarifier Features and Overview
Ecologix Tube settler Clarifier Series use multiple tubular channels sloped at an angle of 60° placed adjacent to each other, which combine to form an increased effective settling area. This provides for a particle settling depth that is significantly less than the settling depth of a conventional clarifier, reducing settling times. Tube settlers capture the settleable fine floc that escapes the clarification zone beneath the tube settlers and allows the larger floc to travel to the tank bottom in a more settleable form. The tube settler’s channel collects solids into a compact mass which promotes the solids to slide down the tube channel.
Our Tube Clarifier Series provide an excellent option for new as well as retrofitting or upgrading existing plants. They are very cost effective when compared to traditional clarifiers and will offer improved performance over any comparable design. Once your clarification system is more efficient it will in turn reduce the solids loading to downstream filters providing for even further cost savings and improved results.
Tube Clarifier Series Design Features and Advantages
- Ability to operate at 2 to 4 times the normal rate of competitive non-tube clarifiers.
- Lower chemical costs due to reduced coagulant dosage. Our design makes it possible to use as little as 50% of the normal dosage amount while still maintaining extremely low effluent turbidity.
- Significantly lower operating and utility costs due to reduced back washing requirements.
- Low installation costs.
- May also be considered for retrofitting existing plants to increase flow.
- Allowable flow capacity is increased by expansion of the settling capacity thus providing increased solids removal in settling tanks.
