Self Cleaning Filters / Self Cleaning Pump Suction Screen Filters

If you use water you know how important it is to keep equipment running smoothly and water flowing freely. Whether you are pumping water from a waste treatment facility , pond, stream, canal, river, irrigation ditch, pit, sump, or a golf course lake, you need the water to be free of trash and debris that could block water flow and damage the pump or clog water-distribution equipment.

The Self Cleaning Pump Suction Screen is galvanized and utilizes a heavy 10, 18, or 30 mesh stainless steel screen to stop contaminants and increase pump efficiency. The self-cleaning screen continuously removes trash and debris from water sources that cost time, money in fuel, drop in pumping efficiency, and maintenance costs. It can be used for agricultural, turf, industrial, centrifugal or turbine pump applications.

The pump suction screen is attached to the end of the pump suction line. All water pulled in must go through the screen before entering the intake pipe. The screenstops trash and debris from entering, plugging lines and causing costly repairs.

A small (1-1/2") side stream pump discharge return line drives two spray bars that continually rotate water jets at the screen and blast debris away from the screen. The Self-Cleaning Pump Suction Screen utilizes a removable screen drum with no moving parts. The Suction Screen Body uses all metal, non-plastic construction.

The screen has no exterior moving parts to breakdown or needing repair. It can be installed at any angle without the operation being affected, it is corrosion resistant and won't collapse under normal operating conditions. It also has a standard flanged connection. Other connections are available upon request. The "Y" strainer is included with the unit and provides easy access for cleaning and prevents the spray nozzles from plugging. This product meets many state and federal standards requiring pre-screening of pump intakes to protect fish and aquatic species from being sucked into the pump intakes.
