Nitrfying Pond Bacteria

This formulation contains Nitrosamines, Nitrobactia and other beneficial pond bacteria cultures. This stabilized liquid formulation will help to reduce the levels of toxic Ammonia and Nitrate in pond water. Plus it will facilitate the Nitrification and Denitrification processes in smaller water garden ponds, Koi ponds and aquariums, as well as larger ponds and lakes.

It should be used when the water temperatures are below 86°F, pH is between 7.2 and 7.8, BOD levels are below 300 ppm, and dissolved oxygen is below 1 ppm.

Gardens and Koi Ponds:
Add 2-4 fluid ounces per 1000 gallons of pond water, every 1-2 weeks.

Larger Ponds and Lakes:
Add 2-4 gallons per million gallons of pond water, every 2-4 weeks.

Aquaculture Ponds:
Add 2-4 gallons per million gallons of pond water, every 2-4 weeks.

Wastewater Treatment:
Add at the following rates

• Equalization Tanks & Primary Clarifiers: Add 3 gallons per MGD, to reduce ammonia, Nitrites and Nitrates. Apply for 30 days or until Nitrification occurs, then reduce the application rate to 11/2 gallons of Nitrifying Pond Bacteria per MGD.
• Aeration Tanks & Oxidation Tanks: Add 1 gallon per MGD, for Nitrification. Apply for 30 days or until Nitrification occurs, then reduce the application rate to 1/2 gallon of Nitrifying Pond Bacteria.
• RBC'S: Add 1 gallon per MGD, for Nitrification. Apply for 30 days or until Nitrification occurs, then reduce the application rate to 1/2 gallon of Nitrifying Pond Bacteria.
• Secondary Clarifiers: Add 1 gallon per MGD, for Nitrification. Apply for 30 days or until Nitrification occurs, then reduce the application rate to 1/2 gallon of Nitrifying Pond Bacteria.
• Digesters, Sludge Tanks: Add 2 gallons per MGD, for Nitrification. Apply for 30 days or until Nitrification occurs, then reduce the application rate to 1 gallon of Nitrifying Pond Bacteria per MGD.
