Bag Filters / Hayflow Filter Element
The heart of a filter element is two concentric cylinders of high quality extended life filter media that are formed using unique fabric welding technology to create a no by-pass seam. The diameter of the cylinder is the same size as a standard filter bag so retrofitting into existing systems is easy. Take advantage of the best of both bag and cartridge filtration with the Hayflow Element - Filter Element, a new development in filtration technology. Standard filter elements are available in both polypropylene and polyester extended life needle felt media with a SENTINEL sealing ring. These two materials are very versatile and will perform well in a majority of applications over a wide range of temperatures. |

Hayflow Filter Elememt
Take advantage of the best of both bag and cartridge filtration with the Hayflow Element - Filter Element, a new development in filtration technology. Usually bag filters are larger than cartridge filters but easier to handle and more cost effective. Now we bring the best of both systems together…high flow rates in compact vessels or a longer lifetime and extended media changing cycles in standard size vessels…all at a reduced cost.
With up to 70% gater surface area than a standard filter bag, filtration system operators and designers can enjoy reduced operating costs using Hayflow Elements with existing, standard size vessels. Because of the high flow rates possible with Flow Elements, it’s also possible to reduce the size of the filter vessels in new systems by up to 50% ts lowering the initial cost. filter elements gives you a choice…lower operating costs or lower initial system cost. |

Operator Friendly Design
System operators like Hayflow Elements because in many applications changing an element is easier than changing a filter bag. That’s because the element only retains 25% othe residual liquid volume of a similarly sized filter bag. This means the element can weigh up to 75% ls than a filter bag. Since a full bag can weigh up to 33 pounds this is an important consideration for the system operator. And this lower retention volume means less saleable product has to be discarded with each filter media change and disposal costs are reduced as well.
Application Versatality
Standard filter elements are available in both polypropylene and polyester extended life needle felt media with a SENTINEL sealing ring. These two materials are very versatile and will perform well in a majority of applications over a wide range of temperatures.
For special applications elements are available with other media choices. Basically, any weldable filtration media can be used to construct an element for your application. Multi-layered construction is also possible for applications that require it. Using melt-blown polypropylene media, Flow Elements are available with high micron retention ratings, and with selective absorption characteristics as well.
Changing the Hayflow Element is quick and easy
Changing over from ordinary bag filtration to element filtration couldn’t be easier. No new filter vessel is required. Existing vessels need only to be fitted with a new Flow Element restrainer basket for instant compatibility. No tools, special equipment or modification to the vessel is required. Just drop in the new basket and you are ready to take advantage of all the benefits offered by filter elements. |
How the Hayflow Element works
The heart of a filter element is two concentric cylinders of high quality extended life filter media that are formed using unique fabric welding technology to create a no by-pass seam. The diameter of the cylinder is the same size as a standard filter bag so retrofitting into existing systems is easy. The element features our patented SENTINEL® sealing ring for a positive seal. The process fluid enters the inside of the element, passes through it, and exits through the vessel outlet. The filtered out material stays inside the element, not on the outside like a filter cartridge, for easy change out. |
