Mist Eliminators control mists, aerosols and fine particulate down to and below 0.1 micron size. Mist Eliminators also control smoke, haze and indoor contaminants including bacterial contamination, odors and recirculation air for industrial and manufacturing environments. The Mist Eliminator will also control oily mists, aerosols and wet, sticky, and/or corrosive emissions. |

                             UHF Mist Eliminator
Many chemistries evolve in mist form, with airborne particle sizes that are large enough to be effectively collected through means of mist elimination rather than the use of a wet scrubber. Many of these compounds can actually be collected more efficiently by means of inertial impaction or mechanical impingement than by the continuous recirculation of scrubber water. This also results in savings of energy costs as well as costs of discharge of effluent to waste treatment. Mist eliminators, therefore, are the correct type of air pollution control devices for these applications. Ecologix designs mist eliminator technology for most any application producing acid mist, alkaline mist, oil mist or in some cases, mists from organics. The UHF Systems use proprietary design features to remove oil mists, aerosols and fine particulate emissions with control efficiency of over 99% f sub-micron size contaminants.
Broad Range of Applications: UHF Systems can control oil mists, aerosols and fine particulate down to and below 0.1 micron size, smoke, haze, indoor air contaminants including bacterial contamination, certain odors and recirculation air for manufacturing environments. The UHF design is especially advantagaeous compared to competing technologies for oily mists and aerosols, and sticky, wet, and /or corrosive emissions. UHF Systems can also provide removal of certain gas-phase contaminants such as VOC's, SOx, mercury and odors at moderate control efficiencies.

                                - UHF filters have been applied to restaurant exhaust to remove smoke from ovens and/or fryers.

                                - The UHF units can be placed indoors or outdoors.   Indoors is generally preferable to avoid the elements.

Regarding dimensions, the size of the unit depends heavily on the profile of the contaminant(s) being collected.  Note that the equipment can be configured to meet available space.  A small unit of <1000 to 3000 ACFM may have a footprint of 5' x 3'.  A 10,000 ACFM the unit will be approximately 9' x 4'.  At 75,000 the unit will be approx. 20' x 7'.  Weights completely depend on material of construction, indoor/outdoor configuration, and other factors, the majority of UHF units will range from several hundred lbs. to 10,000 lbs.

Our exclusive line of chemical mist eliminators for abatement of aerosols and mists in exhaust air streams. The Spectra Series mist eliminator is a mechanical impingement device used for capturing aerosols less than 1 micron in diameter.

This type of mist eliminator is commonly used for the chrome plating, metal finishing, battery manufacturing, and semiconductor industries. The Spectra Series mist eliminator is used for abatement of chromic acid, sulfuric acid, nitric acid, HCI mist, and other corrosive mists needing abatement prior to stack discharge.
